EMERYVILLE, Calif. — Acclaimed animation studio Pixar, makers of “Toy Story” and “The Incredibles,” announced its newest film “Juggernauts” late Friday evening.
“Juggernauts,” which will tell the story of the eager but overconfident juggernaut Lightning McDarksteel, will appear in theaters December 14.
According to Pixar spokeswoman Tina Gaffney, Lightning’s pushiness lands him into trouble, such that he must make amends to a whole new group of friends, including the lovably rural Otarian juggernaut Mater.
“Lightning is lovable, but indestructible, and he tends to forget that around his friends,” Gaffney told The Magic Lampoon.
Lightning is voiced by Owen Wilson, while Mater is voiced by comedian Larry the Cable Guy.
“Larry is just hilarious in this film, as Mater the jovial unstoppable killing machine,” Gaffney said.

I’m uncomfortable about how there isn’t a human in the first picture to illustrate how large Lightning is in relation to me. He could be the size of a dog! We don’t know!
Mater there has a dwarf, and I love dwarves, but it means I have to lower how impressed I am by the juggernaut’s size to about 2/3 of its original level.
