RENTON, Wash. — Kanye West angrily told Wizards of the Coast officials Friday that he should be the winner of the Magic: The Gathering design internship contest.
“If I do not win this design internship contest, it has no credibility,” West told Mark Rosewater.
The outspoken hip-hop artist, not normally known for designing Magic cards, told Wizards officials that his cards were clearly the best ones.
“These other guys, they got — what? Cantrips? Cards — what, your opponents get to play them from the graveyard? Nothing against them, but, I had Pamela Anderson,” West said.
“My cards don’t suck like that,” he said.
“Also, this contest does not care about black people,” he added.
